Dick Smart
Dick is a local man, having lived and worked his whole life in the Wellingborough and surrounding areas. He was educated at Wellingborough Grammar School and obtained his law degree at Birmingham University. He worked as a solicitor and partner at the largest law firm in the area for over 40 years. His main interests are family and sport orientated in his retirement, with small grandchildren and a Saints season ticket to keep him busy.
Dick has always felt it important to be involved in the local community. He was the founding chairman of the committee which introduced the Citizens Advice Bureau into the town, a past president of a local Rotary Club, and a past president of the Wellingborough Chamber of Trade and Commerce. He is a past Church Warden and is presently Vice Chairman of the PCC at All Hallows Church. Dick became a Trustee of the DCF in 2019 and is chairman of the Governance Committee. He is currently a Volunteer Team Leader both at the Food Bank packing food parcels and at the Daylight Centre preparing and serving meals.
