Nationwide At The Daylight Veggie Patch

On Thursday 19th of May 2022, staff members from Nationwide joined us on the Daylight Veggie Patch for their Social Investment Day. Nationwide provides their staff with two paid Social Investment Days per year to give back to the community and this year they kindly chose to support the Daylight Centre.

Fiona, Kallie, and Chris worked very hard on the allotment and made many achievements to support vulnerable adults within the local community. We worked together to plant seeds in the Daylight Garden, planted fruit trees in the orchard, assembled the structure for the peas, planted a row of potatoes, and planted 100 sweetcorn plants!
